The opening of the new website is a good time to reflect on 30 years of worldwide work. SOLIDARITE is the result of the will of inspired men and women to change the world we live in.

Through its actions and reflexions, SOLIDARITE aims to translate our humane values into local initiatives, not just in the southern hemisphere but also in the north. Although it is a very difficult time, in which nations are fleeing their main duty; taking care of their people, SOLIDARITE still believes that it is possible for everybody to enjoy three meals a day, to have access to education and culture and live in dignity, equality and freedom.

Therefore SOLIDARITE continues to look for alternatives to the development which is destroying mankind and Mother Nature, by supporting respectful social and economic programmes conceived hand in hand with our South American, Asian and African friends.

Our priority is to empower local actors and organisations that directly involve the impoverished and precarious workers in the aim of giving them the keys and the dynamics to take their future into their own hands: Food sovereignty, land rights, promoting local crops, professional training courses for young women and many other fundamental rights

Our world is in crisis, it is going through one of the most difficult moments of its long history; inequalities have never been so big, Man and Nature are subject to violence and abandonment. However, SOLIDARITE continues to keep faith. Our hope lies in the capacity of us all to unite and live the present differently and build a new world, one of fulfilment, justice and peace
