Mission

All the versions of this article: [English] [Español] [français]

Participate in the reduction of rural unemployment and in meeting the essential needs of the most disadvantaged populations : the young, marginalized women, native peoples, tribes, small farmers and those without land.

We support projects for several years (3 years on average) in order to concentrate our efforts ona few regions that we know well. The projects arerun by local organisations (associations, NGOs, informal groups, etc.) recognised for their efficiency and their reliability. We work directly with project leaders, local managers, national coordinators and technical specialists from the region concerned. Possessing excellent professionnal qualifications, they have acquired know-how in the field wich is essential to permit them to select, monitor and evaluate the programmes. They submit projects to us at the request of local populations.

The programmes are brought to fruition in synergy with the various organisations concerned with development. Our aim is also to establish a network among our Southern partners in order to organise and contribute to the transmission of knowledge.

We monitor each project closely and carry out frequent evaluations in the field. Our local co-ordinators and French project managers make regular assessments of progress achieved and needs yet to be met.
